  5. Hotel Selector and Hotel Information • Hotel Selector: Select the hotel you wish to analyze using this tool at the far right of the report. NOTE: Select the hotel by clicking on the arrow buttons, clicking the hotel name will not change the selected hotel. • Hotel Information: This box on the far left of the report displays hotel and location information for the currently selected hotel. • Performance/Priority: This displays the performance and priority scores for the currently selected hotel. Please see next page for description of these scores.

  6. Performance and Priority Scoring • Performance: Each hotel is assigned a performance score ranging from ---- to ++++ (see complete table below). This is calculated by ranking the hotel’s performance in each metric relative to the other hotels being ranked in the Scorecard analysis. The score for each metric is displayed in the Performance Chart. The box directly underneath the hotel information displays an overall performance rating, which is an average of the performance in the 5 metrics. • Priority: A hotel’s priority score is calculated by quantifying their metric performance scores and then weighting by room nights. The highest priority score is 1,000. All other priority scores are ranked relative to this “top priority” hotel.

  7. Hotel Performance Chart • Hotel Performance Chart: Plots each metric performance score for the hotel (in orange) and compares to that hotel’s city average (in purple). This provides a visual and holistic view on the selected hotel’s performance. • Filter View: Clicking this button brings a pop-up window (see next page) which allows you to limit the dataset used in the analysis. • Map: Clicking the map button brings up a Google map page displaying the location of the selected hotel. • Supplier View: Clicking this button aggregates individual hotel information at the hotel chain/group level. This is particularly helpful when dealing with several properties from the same chain.

  8. Filter View • Filter View: This is where you can manipulate/limit the data set used in the Supplier Scorecard analysis. For example, if you select “Starwood Hotels” from the “Hotel Group” filter, and then close the filter pop-up, only Starwood properties will be contained in the analysis. • Close Filter: By clicking this button, you do not void the filter selections, you simply hide the window from view.

  9. Supplier View • Supplier View: Clicking on “Supplier View” displays aggregated performance indicators based on hotel chain/group. The metrics and other information is the same, just at an aggregated level. • Hotel View: While in Supplier View, click “Hotel View” to return to the standard, hotel-specific view of the Supplier Scorecard.

  10. Hotel Performance Indicators 1 2 3 4 5 • Hotel Performance Indicators: This section provides more detail and actual performance figures for each of the metrics displayed on the Hotel Performance Chart. • 1. Client Average Daily Rate (ADR) vs. CWT Benchmark: Client transactions within the previous quarter are used to calculate the total spend and room nights at each hotel (displays the currently selected hotel). ADR = spend/room nights. The benchmark spend and room nights derive from all other CWT clients’ transactions at the same hotels within the same time period. • 2. Missed Savings: Booked rates from transactions in the previous quarter are compared to the preferred seasonal rates that should have been applied based on the check-in dates. Those transactions with a higher rate than the expected negotiated rate incur “missed savings”. Missed savings = (booked rate – negotiated rate)* room nights. On the scorecard, the sum of the missed savings is compared to the sum of the total spend.

  11. Hotel Performance Indicators 1 2 3 4 5 • 3. Best Available Rate (BAR) vs. Client ADR: When GDS audits are run through Lanyon, the Best Available Rate for the audited hotels is occasionally captured. After each audit, we consolidate every client’s GDS results into a master table, which includes the date checked and BAR. Based on the dates checked, we determine what seasonal preferred rate should have been applied from the client’s hotel program for each audit. We then average both the BAR and the negotiated rates. • 4. Market Share: The client’s booked room nights in the previous quarter are calculated for all of its preferred hotels. The preferred room nights are then summed at the city level to get the “Total Preferred Nights in City.” The market share is calculated by dividing the hotel’s room nights (Booked Room Nights) by the Total Preferred Nights in City. This is compared to the “Expected Market Share” which equals one divided by the total preferred hotels in the city.

  12. Hotel Performance Indicators 1 2 3 4 5 • 5. Rate Availability: In the Lanyon Rate Availability Audit, an audit shows a rate was “Available” when the rate returned was equal to or lower than the seasonal negotiated rate expected based on the date checked. The “% Available” is simply the percentage of the audits that showed the rate was “Available”. NOTE: The Rate Availability section will only populate for hotels which have been included in the Rate Availability Audit.

  13. Additional Details • Previous Period ADR: Click “show” to display the current period ADR for the selected hotel and how it compares to the ADR at the same property in the last period. • Program Data: Click “show” to display a summary of the contract with the currently selected hotel. This section contains the following: • Rate Information (negotiated rates, seasons, currency, room type) • Amenity Inclusions and contract terms (LRA, Cancellation) • List of blackout dates
