SHORT CYCLE ASSESSMENTS • Priority Schools Bureau is gathering information regarding the stage of implementation of short cycle assessments on a statewide basis • Reviewing 10 – 15 most widely utilized short cycle assessments to provide districts a consumer report • No deadline for full implementation has been established • The PED will not mandate which short cycle assessment districts will use

DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS • Utilize a “Systems Approach” for Deployment of EPSS - Continuous Improvement Model • Short Cycle Assessments • Professional Development on use of data to drive instruction • Implementation of Best Practices • Participate in EPSS Site Visits • Align District Resources to EPSS

GOALS • A Result of Data Analysis and Study • Student Centered Learning Goals consistent with vision, mission, beliefs and core values • Attainable and Measurable • Appropriate in terms of rigor and equity • Reflect student needs – data driven • Reflect Expected Gains • Aligned with state and/or federal mandates and standards
