  3. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY 1/2 Toimprove English teachers’ profesional competence is by sending them to the higher level of education in Malang University They are also have an opportunity to study overseas for “sandwich study”

  4. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY 2/2 The respondent of this research is 22 teachers from the Pre-Internationally Standardized School or RSBI in Malang This research is conducted between 2009 until 2010

  5. THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH To examine how the English teachers see the opportunities that they have got to study overseas

  6. METHOD This research used a questionaire with three question that is stated in the research statement. The questions are given before the 22 teachers start their sandwich study and collected as they return to their home country
