  4. Check your EAP scores! • Are you exempt from taking the English or Math assessments at the CSU? Find out your EAP scores from Mrs. Brogan or your guidance counselor. They are also on your STAR score report. • If you scored conditionally exempt in Math or English and take the appropriate class (Adv. Algebra or higher and ERWC) and earn a C or better you will be exempt from take the placement tests at a CSU.

  5. Do not get any D’s or F’s your senior year! • Most colleges accept students based on their sophomore and junior grades. • Each year, Enochs has students who were conditionally accepted at colleges denied admission in June because they received a D or F in their senior year.

  6. Have I taken all necessary tests? • If applying only to CSU’s you need to take the SAT and/or ACT without writing. • If applying to UC’s you must take the ACT with writing and/or SAT. Subject tests are optional. • Deadline to take all tests is December for most schools. However, some schools have earlier deadlines. Check their websites! • Make sure you send your ACT/SAT scores to all the schools you apply! Schools must have your scores!

Can be things like being a good friend or good listener. • CSU’s do not require a personal statement.

You can transfer as a junior to a very prestigious college much easier than as a high school senior. • MJC offers excellent certificate programs and technical/vocational education as well. *** In order to have the best chance at enrolling in classes at MJC next fall, you need to enroll in a MJC class in the spring of your senior year! www.mjc.edu
