  2. Weather and Climate • Khartoum is usually hot and dusty. During May, June, and July, daily high temperatures average around 100 F or higher, with frequent dust storms called "haboobs.“ • July, August, and part of September are not as hot as other mouths

Landforms • The Libyan and the Nubian deserts are located to the north of Sudan. • The Arid Mountains are located to the eastward of Sudan. • Savanna and swamplands are located in the southern half of Sudan. • The Nile river is the only river that flow thru Sudan and it’s the largest river in Africa.

  4. Resources • The natural resources for Sudan are petroleum; small reserves of iron ore, copper, chromium ore, zinc, tungsten, mica, silver, gold, hydropower

  5. History • Sudan has been divided between its Arab heritage, identified with northern Sudan, and its African heritages to the south.
