  2. This Presentation contains steps for cleaning the print head with a print head-cleaning tool. This procedure runs ink through the nozzles to try to unclog and clean the print head inside the product. Cleaning the print head Use one of the following methods to run the print head-cleaning tool.

Clean the printhead from the control panel • First of all Load letter, A4, or legal size, unused, plain white paper into the main input tray. • Press and hold the Power button. • Press the Cancel button two times, and then press the Resume button one time. • Leave go of the Power button.

  4. Method 2: Clean the print head using HP Solution Center • Open HP Solution Center: • Windows XP: Click Start, click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center. • Windows Vista: Click the Windows icon ( ), click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center.

  5. 2. HP Solution Center opens in a new window. • Click Settings button, and then click Printer Toolbox. The printer Toolbox opens. • Click the Device Services tab, and then click Clean Print heads. • Click Clean to begin the cleaning process, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. A test page prints after the cleaning process completes. • Recycle or discard the test page.
