  1. CCSLabNet – Canberra Node Asset #11 – ComputeInfrastructure • Technical programmers – develop new analyses and reconstruction modules and Plexus for complete data curation • Data storage - ~100Tb per annum • GPU cluster – to drive real-time visualisation, important for remote access and training. • Requested: $490k • Matching: $1040k (4 years)

  2. CCSLabNet – Canberra Node Asset #12 – 3D Imaging • Continuous multiscale imaging in 3D using patented registration algorithms. Only group able to integrate this information (in 3D from microns to metres) • Refurbishedclinical scanner • Heliscan™ micro-CT – dedicated to CCS • Requested: $1500k • Matching: $1700k (4 years) Equivalent conventional scan compared with 40 GbyteHeliscanof (5mm dia., 20mm long, 3.5 µm resolution)

  3. CCSLabNet – Canberra Node Segmented tomogram Asset #13 –QuantitativeMineralogy • 2D mineral mapping informs 3D structure. Only group able to integrate this information. • Crucial for understanding the types of porosity (clays, fractures, etc), and reactivity • Costsaving in reservoir evaluationbyusingcuttings, and sidewall core • Requested: $850k • Matching: $740k (4 years) QEMScan Focussed Ion Beam Tomography

  4. CCSLabNet – Canberra Node In situtriaxial high pressure cell Asset #14 – SCAL Equipment • ex situ equipment for CO2 flooding – to do long-term serial experiments • in situcellforreal-timemonitoring of CO2 floods at the pore-scale. • Core preparationtools • Requested: $1010k • Matching: $1280k In situdrainage at the pore-scale

  5. CCSLabNet – Canberra Node Asset #11 –Refurbishment • Currently: 1st & 3rdfloor of 60 yearold building. Will co-locate labs and CT rooms to groundfloor in more appropriate building (vibration, shielding, etc) • Establish ‘best practice’ workflow and training programs • Wet lab for precision sample preparation for QEMScan and CT • Core techniques: porosimetry, pycnometry, SCAL, etc • Dedicated CT for CCS, plus 2 ANU CTs and 1 for expansion. Dedicated QEMScan room. • Requested: $1680k • Matching: $2370k Technician working in shielded and temperature stabilised room
