Contract ProcessClinical Trial Agreements (“CTAs”)SPS/ORCA Interaction • ORCA or Dept. • Routing the Proposal: • Agreement comes to Investigator or ORCA • Investigator forwards agreement to ORCA • ORCA • Negotiating the Agreement: • Contacts Sponsor for purpose of negotiating terms of: CTAs, CDAs, MTAs, and Subcontracts • SPS • Routing the Proposal: • SPS Logs agreement into SPINS database as a draft ORCA Signing the Agreement: Upon receipt of PRS by SPS, ORCA fully executes the agreement, and forwards copies to Investigator and Business Manager • SPS • Pending Finalization: • Receives PRS and fully approved budget • ORCA • Negotiating the Agreement: • Works as needed with: • Investigator • Office of Technology Transfer • Office of General Counsel • Risk Management Total time to completion in Business days: Average = 26 Days Median = 19 Days
