  1. Méchanic at the CPPM - 29/06/05 Françoise RIVIERE – Jean-Luc GIMENEZ - Pierre KARST • IR Detector • - Test cryostat For IPNL • - Shrinkage measurement at 120 K • - Integration of the detector into the Herschel cryostat • Demonstrator • - Update of the requirements (optics, alignment, reference, interfaces). • - Set up of the nomenclature, management of the drawing (SmarTeam). • - Preliminary design of the optic supports (technical solutions, functional and risk analysis).

  2. Status of the design of the test cryostat • DONE • Available quotation for the components • Drawing management • with Smarteam (IN2P3 database) • 3 D design in progress • TO BE DONE : • - To freeze the design of the rear face • - To freeze the dimensions in respect with the choice of the component supplier • - To design the supporting frame • - To increase the dimension of the view port • - To define the details for the assembly (welding)  Detail drawings • - To find the optimal treatment in order to reach the best emissivity of the internal • surfaces.

  3. Shrinkage measurement at 120 K Proposal of the very preliminary concept (to be developped by the collaboration)

  4. Integration of the detector into the Herschel cryostat Herschel cryostat mediun plane

  5. Integration of the detector into the Herschel cryostat • The signal cable is connected to the closer feedthrough (f 60) • The other ones are to be supported and the routing to be defined towards a larger available feedthrough (f 100)

  6. SPECTROGRAPH DEMONSTATOR Update of the requirements • Geometrical requirement of the optics (01/07/05) • Perpendicularity • Concentricity with the reflective surface axis • Optical alignment procedure (01/07/05) • Requirement for each module • Measurable surfaces defining an absolute reference • Interfaces for the fixation and the positionning of two optical components for the alignment procedure (input and output beam) Ouput focal plane Module reference Input focal plane

  7. Set up of the nomenclature, management of the drawing Drawing management with SmarTeam (IN2P3 database)

  8. Preliminary design of the optic supports Fixation with glue Glues in competition : - 2850 FT (Emerson & Cuming) - 2216 (3M) - RTV 566 (MG chemicals)

  9. Mirror Preliminary design of the optic supports Elastic fixation Springs Next step : developping the technical functional analysis of the optic support, and make the choice by the risk analysis method (AMDEC). Expected before the end of July.
