  2. Qiblah La qiblah e' il muro direzionato verso la Mecca.

  3. Mihrab Mihrab All'interno dei luoghi di culto la qibla è indicata da una nicchia detta mihrab. Questa è collocata sulla parete meridionale, mentre sul lato settentrionale sono aperti altri ingressi: i fedeli pregano disponendosi in file parallele lungo le navate.

La Moschea Blu di Istanbul Pareti, colonne e archi sono decorati in toni che vanno dal blu al verde; la luce che entra da 260 finestrelle dà alla grande sala della preghiera un’atmosfera fantastica e meravigliosa. Il nome ufficiale della più affascinante moschea del Bosforo è Sultan Ahme Camii, ma è conosciuta come la Moschea Blu. È infatti il turchese il colore dominante nel tempio. La Moschea Blu, che risale al XVII secolo, è anche l’unica a poter vantare ben sei minareti
