  1. DO NOW • How do you like middle school and this class? What do you not like? What could be better? Do you have any suggestions? • Write at least 3-5 sentences • Staple all of your DO NOW’s together and put them at the end of your table. (You should have 9 total)

  2. Cup & Paper Towel Lab • Get out a piece of paper • You will be putting a paper towel in the bottom of a cup, turning the cup upside down and putting it completely under water. • Write on your paper what you think will happen.

  3. Cup & Paper Towel Lab • One table at a time, go to the aquarium in the back • Ball up a paper towel and put it in the bottom of cup • Turn the cup upside down and put it completely underwater • Take it out and see what happened • Record on your paper your results • Next, we will use a cup with a hole in it • Write on your paper what you think will happen

Cup & Paper Towel Lab • One table at a time, go to the aquarium in the back • Ball up a paper towel and put it in the bottom of cup • Turn the cup upside down and put it completely underwater • Take it out and see what happened • Record on your paper your results • Why do you think your results happened?

  5. Reading • Read Chapter 2, Section 1 (pages 38-42) • Answer the questions on page 42 on a piece of paper

  6. For Tuesday • Finish Chapter 2, Section 1 Questions
