MARIANO SANTOS MATEOS Este valeroso Guardia Civil, es considerado en la Historia del Perú, como el “Valiente de Tarapacá“, por su heroica acción del 27 de Noviembre de 1879; al apoderarse en el fragor del combate de un Estandarte del Ejército chileno Los Peruanos, Guardia Civiles, Policías, Autoridades y Ciudadanos, le rinden permanente homenaje, construyendo diversos Monumentos en su Honor El Congreso de la República de este país, por Ley Nº 23316, lo declaró “Héroe Nacional“ y por Ley Nº 29161 lo ascendió al alto grado de General de la Policía Nacional del Perú

ALIPIO PONCE VÁSQUEZ Guardia Civil ejemplar, que durante el conflicto con el Ecuador en el año de 1941; con gran coraje expulsó de la frontera peruana a las fuerzas invasoras, tomando con valentía y decisión las zonas ecuatorianas de Quebrada Seca y Carcabón; siendo posteriormente emboscado en Porotillo, inmolándose por su Patria en el sagrado cumplimiento del deber El Congreso de la República de este país, por Ley Nº 24658, lo declaró Héroe Nacional

    5. 72 GUARDIAS CIVILES QUE OFRENDARON SUS VIDAS EN EL CUMPLIMIENTO DEL DEBER, POR EL ORDEN, LA PAZ Y DEFENSA DEL PERÚ; DURANTE LAS GUERRILLAS PRO CASTRISTAS EN ESTE PAÍS PERIODO DE 1962 A 1978

    12. EN RECONOCIMIENTO Y MÉRITO A ESTE MARTIROLOGIO POLICIAL DE GUARDIA CIVILES; EL PRESIDENTE DE LA REPÚBLICA, ARQUITECTO FERNANDO BELAÚNDE TERRY, POR LEY Nº 15605 DEL 24 AGOSTO DE 1965, DECLARÓ A ESTA NOBLE INSTITUCIÓN DE LA PATRIA “BENEMÉRITA GUARDIA CIVIL DEL PERÚ”
