  2. Art Ancient India People Made A lot of items from clay including pots, plates (pictured) figurines, and bricks

  3. Weapons • Ancient Indian people made weapons such as knives, swords, and axes. But what about atomic bombs? Excavation of several sites show high radiation levels, and large petrified sand areas of deserts. The remains of cities are highly radioactive. Skeletons of bodies have been found that were melted and then crystallized. A mother, child, and father have been found still holding hands.

  4. Government As time passed, people began to settle down in places such as India. By 6,000 BC India had 16 Mahajanapadas. There was also many small Republics in India.

  5. Trade/Money Within Indian villages many kinds of items were traded, such as pots, weaponry, food and beads. Beside trading, they used puranas, a form of money. They were metal squarish coins.

  6. Medicine Medicine in ancient India was mostly herbs such as turmeric but one big part of Indian medicine was Ayurveda. Ayurveda consisted of three parts, Vata: Regulates body function. Balanced=creative, Unbalanced= fear Pitta: Digestion, also controls body temperature. Balanced=intelligence, Unbalanced=anger Kalpha: Growth Balanced=love and forgiveness Unbalanced=envy

  7. Fun facts (some things mentioned go on to present) *India is the only society that’s never had slavery. *Invented number system,0, and decimal system in 100 B.C. *Ayurveda (see previous slide) was the first medical technique known to humans.
