  1. Adult Life Group Announcements for 8/21/11

  2. Schedule Changes Next Week • Next week August 28 we’ll have a new worship and Life Group schedule! • One service at 9:30 and Life Groups hours at 8:15am and 11. • Start decorating your new room and making calls inviting members and guests to check us out that Sunday!!!

  3. Back to School Prayer Rally • This Monday! August 22 9:30-11 in the Lodge • All women are welcome, moms, grandmothers and aunts… • Come pray for our kids, teachers and their schools.

  4. Food Drive for City Mission Centers • The Greenspoint Food Pantry needs stocking. Bring whatever you can to help meet needs for this ministry. Suggested items are: • Canned goods snacks • Cereal spaghetti sauce • Dry Beans (1 or 2#) toilet paper • Rice ( 1,2,or 3#) kleenex • Dry Pasta canned meats • Hamburger Helper • Peanut Butter • Jelly

  5. Ladies Night Out • August 28th is our next Ladies Night Out event. Get your girlfriends and their girlfriends for this fun connecting event that has eternal impact! • Tammie Head author of the book Duty or Delight is our guest. Dessert and coffees will be served, too; 6:30-9pm in the FLC auditorium.

  6. The Gathering If you or someone you know has a loved one struggling with memory loss, CFBC is starting a new ministry called, the Gathering Place.  Bring your loved one for three hours of crafts, entertainment, food and fellowship.  The Gathering Place is a once a month event and begins 8/22 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Room FL-102.  For more information, please call 281-440-3800.

Apologetics Anyone? • Sometimes apologetics seems so deep and difficult… • Friday, August 26, Dr. Paul Shockley will be at CFBC to speak on the issues of our culture and its “pursuit of pleasure” - in room KB 100 from 6:30p to 8:15p.   8. FAITH Semester • We begin September 11. Make this the year you learn the FAITH outline and share the gospel using it! It is easy to learn and makes in impact. Check out the brochure in Life Group today.

  9. OperationChristmasChild • Every year Operation Christmas Child reaches more than 8 million children around the world with the message of Jesus. We will have workshops on Saturdays, beginning August 27, 12:00 to 3:00 PM, in Room KB100.  There are a number of projects that need to be completed for the September shoe box collection dates, September 11, 18 and 25.  Everything needed will be provided at the workshops but you can always bring more shoe boxes.
