Queen Elizabeth II • Born: 21 April 1926 • Queen of 16 countries known as the Commonwealth. • Crowned at her coronation on 2 June 1953 • The daughter of King George VI • And Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother • Married to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. • Mother to Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex • Shares her time between Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.

  3. Prince Philip • Born: 10 June 1921 in Corfu • Originally the Royal Prince of Greece and Denmark • On 19 November 1947 was made Knight of the Garter • Married the then Princess Elizabeth on 20th November 1947 and became the Duke of Edinburgh • Was crowned Prince of the United Kingdom in 1957

Prince Charles • Born: 14 November 1948 • The eldest son of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip • Holds the titles of Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester since 1958 • Married Diana Princess of Wales on 1981 and divorced in 1996 • Had two children with Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry • Married his second wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in 2005. • He is the heir to the throne (first in line)

Prince William • Born: 21 June 1982 • Is the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Priness of Wales. • Grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philp • Married Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011 • Holds the titles of Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus • Is second in line for the throne after Prince Charles • Has one child Prince George of Cambridge born 22 July 2013.

Prince Harry • Born: 15 September 1984 • The youngest son of Charles, Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Princess of Wales. • Full name is Prince Henry of Wales • He is fourth in land for the throne. • He is known as Captain Harry Wales while he serves as a Apache Helicopter Pilot with the Army Air Corps. He recently returned for his second tour of Afghanistan.

  7. Prince George of Wales • Born: 22 July 2013 • Son of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge • He is third in line to the throne.

  8. The wedding of Prince William and Kate • Married on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey. • Was a National holiday in England.

  9. The Queen’s Jubilee • “a special anniversary of an event, especially one celebrating twenty-five or fifty years of a reign or activity.” • There is a silver jubilee marking 25 years. A Golden jubilee for 50 years and a diamond jubilee for 60 years. • The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was a multinational celebration throughout 2012 marking the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II.
