  3. My Parents My parents, Stan and Natalie, have been married for almost 42 years. They have always lived in Milford, Indiana since getting married, and still live there today. Both my older brother Doug and I were born in Goshen, Indiana.

  4. My Beginning I was born on April 13, 1974. Growing up my dad worked for NIPSCO, where he worked until retiring a few years ago. When I was just a baby my parents built the house where I grew up and that they still live in today.

  5. Parents & Brother My parents had been married 2 years when they had my older brother Doug. He also still lives in the Milford area. Two years after Doug was born, along I came. After two boys, my parents decided our family was complete.

  6. Dad’s Accident On February 10, 1975 while my dad was working for NIPSCO, there was an accident while he was working the power lines. The accident resulted in dad losing his right hand from just below the elbow. Dad never let this stop him. He taught me many things, including how to play football and fish. He continued to work until he retired a few years ago. There were only a few pictures of me taken with him when he had both of his hands.

  7. Growing Up I was very fortunate, and stayed in the same school system from K-12. I did all of the normal things in school, joining cub scouts when I was young and playing football while in high school. I graduated from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, Indiana in 1992.

  8. Military Immediately after graduating, I enlisted in the US Army. When I enlisted I was in Air Defense Artillery, but I changed jobs in 1997 to MP Corrections, in other words I was a prison guard. I was active duty until February 2005 when I was medically discharged. While in the military I was fortunate to be able to travel not only the US, but the world.

  9. Military Travels I was stationed in Kitzingen, Germany in the 1990’s. While stationed in Germany I was deployed to Saudi Arabia.

  10. Military Travels I spent a year in South Korea from 2000-2001 After returning from Korea, I was stationed in Fort Lewis, WA

  11. My Family I am happily married with 4 great kids. My wife Tammi is a stay at home mom. In her spare time she enjoys photography. We enjoy spending time as a family and doing things together. We try and take a family vacation at least once a year to someplace nice and relaxing. Occasionally we throw in a trip to Disney to mix things up, but my wife and kids enjoy spending time at the beach the most.

  12. Wency My daughter Wency is my oldest. She also graduated from Wawasee High School in 2009. She is 19 and is currently a sophomore at IPFW. She is majoring in Human Services with a minor in German. She wants to plan international mission trips one day. She lives on campus and is very involved in Campus Ministry and volunteers at an after school program for kids.

  13. Michaela My youngest daughter is Michaela. She is almost 16 years old and is a sophomore at Wawasee High School. She is in her school choir and a part of the color guard. She is very interested in science and plans on majoring in Forensic Science in college. She wants to do what the character of Abby does on NCIS. If she can get past the blood, I think she will do great.

  14. Michael Michael is my oldest son. He is almost 14 years old and in 8th grade at Milford school. He recently started playing guitar with his church youth band. He enjoys paintballing, fishing and helping his grandpa work outside. He wants to go to college for architecture, and would also like to become a youth minister.

  15. DJ My youngest son is DJ. He is 5 years old and is excited to start first grade at Milford School next year. My wife and I started teaching him ASL at birth and it was the best thing we ever did. Like most little boys, he enjoys playing with his Thomas the Train, Cars and Bakugan. He is very protective of his sisters and is pretty good about keeping the boyfriends in line. When he grows up he wants to be a fireman.

  16. Nemo Nemo is our furry family member. When we first got him he was so cute and curious. This, along with his deep red-orange color is what earned him his name. He is a golden retriever, and at 9 years old he is as energetic today as he was the day we got him. He is also a tough cookie. He survived parvo when he was a puppy, then at 2 years old he had to have surgery to remove 2 rocks he ate. He loves playing with the kids.

  17. Today After my discharge from the Army I wanted to stay in the federal employment system. I currently work for the USPS in Warsaw, Indiana. This semester I returned to college 19 years after graduating high school to earn my degree. My family are the best part of me, and I look forward to what the future holds for us.
