ME2305 M3T: Purpose The purpose of the course is to enable the participants: • To analyze, describe and use management models as presented in literature and practice. • To develop awareness and be able to analyze the theoretical foundations of management of primarily technology-based organizations. • To be able to analyze, evaluate and use management models
ME2305 M3T: Course content • Literature • Clegg, KornbergerochPitsis: Managing & Organizations • Lectures • On the course literature (KL) • ”Guest lectures” by managers and scholars • ”Student lectures” • Group exercise • A paper (app. 10 pages) and a 15 min lecture on a chosen text.
ME2305 M3T: Examination A written, take-home examination and onepaper. The paper is gradedPass/Fail and the examination F, E-A. ME2305 M3T: Group exercise You perform and in depth study of a text of your own choice (discuss your choices with be before you start) and summarize the text and your analysis in a ten-page paper. You present your findings to the rest of the students in a 15 minute presentation. The text may be one of the management ”classics”, it may also be a text on the management a specific process or type of company (i.e. management of knowledge intensive work, managing innovation and growth etc.) Choices of text should be made no later than Mid-September…
