  2. ENC 0001 and REA 0001 • These courses are designed to reinforce appropriate skills for college-level reading and writing. • They are prerequisites to ENC 1101 and other credit courses.

  3. ENC 0001 . . . teaches writing conventions such as grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation. Students are also exposed to various written assignments that put their newly learned skills to use.

  4. REA 0001 . . . is designed to promote critical thinking and help students become analytical readers. Main ideas, supporting details, and article organization are some of the areas covered in this class.

  6. Printed Materials Printed resources are available for checkout (to be used within the ASC) at our reception desk. These materials cover a wide range of topics, from reading practices, grammar drills, to essay writing skills.
