  1. “The CNN 10: Thinkers”

  2. The phones in our pockets and the Web at our fingertips. The way we live, the ways our children learn and the discoveries that make us excited about the days ahead. None materialized out of thin air. Great advances come from great ideas. And great ideas come from great thinkers. Today, CNN is honoring the visionaries whose ideas are shaping our future by highlighting 10 of our favorite thinkers in science and technology. These thinkers come from different countries, backgrounds and disciplines, but all are actively working to make an impact for the greater good. 5 of 10 are below. Caroline Buckee (malaria) Regina Dugan and Mary Lou Jespen (Google) Sugata Mitra (education) Elon Musk (Paypal) Jennifer Pahlka (White House)

  3. In Other News Former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. -- once a rising Democratic star whose political career imploded over the use of campaign finances to support lavish personal spending -- reported to federal prison Monday, his spokeswoman said, but his whereabouts were not immediately known. A check of the Federal Bureau of Prisons website early Tuesday showed Jackson's name, but it said he was not in custody. His name later disappeared from the website altogether. Great cast! Great director! Why did that movie flop? http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/28/showbiz/movies/movies-that-missed-flopped-and-failed/index.html?hpt=hp_c3 Oscar-, Emmy-, Grammy-, and Golden Globe-winning superstar (so she’s an EGOG winner) Cher will guest judge next Monday’s performances on Dancing With the Stars. She’ll also perform as a musical guest, announced host Tom Bergeron during tonight’s Week 7 telecast.
