Elodie Davignon Manager Relocation & Global Mobility Saint-Gobain Corporation • Increase in local package or “light” expatriation package due to employee’s personal request to relocate internationally (+25%) • “Light” expatriation package = Home country pension and international medical insurance only (no allowances for housing, car or tuition fees) • After time of assignment (3 to 5 years), only 10% of expatriates are willing to be “localized” when they are on assignment in the United States and less than 5% of our US expatriates are willing to become local employees in their Host country. “On Your Mark…Get Set…GO!”

New Generation worries: • Career Management (will they have a position when they will return?) • Spouse employment • Children education • Pension • Medical coverage • Expatriate Career Management (Repatriation): • 18 months upon return: employees are being contacted to make their wishes for their career • 12 months: wishes confirmed: • assignment can be extended (5 years maximum, decreasing of the package until the 8th year – localization at the 9th year) • wish to return to the Home country => Human Resources are then aware and a new position is search across all our businesses • 6 months before end date: new position identified, return process is starting “On Your Mark…Get Set…GO!”
