What we do We lead the “Sustainability, Energy and Engineering” strategic and operational agenda as part of the “respect for the environment” value under the 20x20 plan.We are responsible for driving forward Sainsbury’s strategies for carbon footprint, environmental resources budgets (electricity, gas, water, carbon) and waste - including turning waste into revenue and minimising its environmental impact. To leverage this we are responsible for all aspects of engineering design and development of support centres, distribution centres, supermarkets and convenience stores.
