  2. The Knox County eClasses program offers online classes for grades 6-12 taught by fully licensed teachers from the Knox County area. • Students remain part of their local school district and can continue to be involved with extra-curricular activities. Students may participate in the regular school all or part of the school day, and then take classes online to accelerate their curriculum. • Use eClasses to: • Mitigate scheduling conflicts • Make up deficient credits • Provide quality curriculum for home-schooled children • Augment course offerings • Allow students to progress at their own pace • Provide intervention for OGT preparation • Extend or accelerate curriculum for gifted students Each school district handles electronic classes a little differently, and so talk to your school principal or guidance counselor for more details. Many schools provide the classes at no cost to students. Students involved in athletics who need virtual courses for eligibility should discuss requirements with their athletic director. Student activity is monitored weekly to make sure each student is making progress. Mastery-based learning ensures student success. Licensed teachers respond to student questions about the assignments in RT virtual environment. Challenging lessons are fully aligned to Ohio’s academic content standards. Award-winning A+ curriculum with robust content is aligned to Ohio’s Academic Content Standards.
