HAZARDOUS MATERIAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM HMMP Summary • Purpose: • The management of Hazardous Materials (HM) use and disposition on the installation. • Major Program Components: • Controlling and tracking HM acquisition, use, handling, disposition and MSDS. • Tracks materials and chemical constituents throughout their life cycle on FWA. • Provides a centralized database to be used for management and environmental compliance reporting. • Provides Material Safety Data Sheet for all products.   7. HMMP Committee Chaired by the Garrison Commander or Rep. Responsible for the implementation of HMMP at the garrison. Develop plans, assign roles and responsibilities, identifies milestones. Provide oversight to HMMP operations. Conduct periodic in-progress review briefings on the status of HMMP implementation.   8. Authorized Use/User List Listing of processes and materials approved for use within FWA activities and tenants. AUL are linked to site-specific process records. Requisitions & receipt of HM are validated against the AUL. Transaction exceptions to the AUL will be reported to the DOL supply division. Overriding the AUL requires approval from Environmental.   9. Hazardous Material Inventory Stored on the Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS) maintained and operated by DOL’s Hazardous Material Control Point (HMCP). All HM brought onto the installation must be tracked by the HMMS. Account for used products by: Periodic product accountability SOP. Coordinate product transfers with HMCP. HAZARDOUS MATERIAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM EO Responsibilities • Ensure unit/organization participation in HMMP. • Ensure AUL is maintained for processes or activities under unit/organization control. • Develop SOPs/HM management plans (e.g., inventory accountability and reconciliation). • Annual assessment of HM Management. • Ensure HM managers/HW accumulation point managers receive proper training. • Follow USAG FWA Regulation 200-1 for HMMP. • Maintain training records.
