THE ABA - ALL ABOUT ASSET MANAGEMENT To understand simply, asset management involves managing the assets of the company i.e. a company's balance sheet may have tangible, intangible, fixed, fictitious, and liquid and the like assets. A systematic design for asset managers to develop, govern, maintain and realize the assets of the company is necessary to ensure a good reputation, market value and also giving it an upper hand in the competition. An asset is anything by which an entity expects to derive future benefits from. Public Relations - A hype or need? Public relations is not arguable but many companies do find it attention seeking to have a PR team. It can't be denied as it helps in building a business reputation in the marketplace. An effective PR Team in the area of wealth management sets apart the services an agency offers, from a crowd of other service providers. But how can a PR make a difference. Let's discuss. Creating a clientele For a startup company or a fresh entrant, it acts as a boost start. A good step would thus, be to determine planned communication for asset managers to publicize and promote itself, to reach the customer base. A proper & strategic PR enables a wide range of clients. Needless to say, it a a stepping stone to building a strong foundation of reputation. Credibility of the entity In the financial service sector, one can't expect to run smoothly without a credible name. State the specifics Be it the kind of methods one uses for the valuation, let's say - Whether a reduction in the market per share will affect the dividend policy of the company that the prospective client is willing to invest in. Be it the team of the educated and the qualified manpower onboard of the company, which helps the client to zero-in on the relevant and beneficial investments. All this can be listed out in an informative booklet that can well inform the clients of where they are putting their hard earned money in. Customer Database Know your customer or KYC policy is a well-known and popular policy that is all over the place. And rightly so, as it happens to collect all the data regarding customers. Different stakeholder brings different needs to the table. Some look for equity investments, some just want to hedge, and others look for fixed dividends. Every client is different, and so their choices and needs. Wealth management always involves a risk factor, as it is about investing the savings (future) of the client. It can't be more emphasized more of how important it is to know the demands, meet the demands and keep updating with the changing laws as well.
