  1. Dear Parents, On Wednesday October 10th, Mrs. King's and Mrs. Dozois' Grade 2 students will be travelling to Laurel Creek Outdoor Education Center to participate in an "Animal Adaptations" program. This program aligns with the science expectations for our current Ministry Unit, "Growth and Change in Animals“. Children will have the opportunity to participate in some outdoor games where we mimic animal behaviours as they prepare for the winter, observe local animals in their current habitats, and go on a guided educational walk. Student lessons will be conducted in an indoor classroom for a small amount of time; however, most of the lessons will be conducted in an outdoorclassroom setting. For this reason, we ask that parents and students please attend to the weather conditions and wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. The students will be travelling by bus, departing the school at 9:00 a.m. and returning to the school at approximately 12:00 p.m. Cost for the trip is $4. Parent volunteers are welcome. We will be able to accommodate volunteers on a first come, first serve basis. Please sign the permission form attached and return it and the trip cost by Wednesday October 3rd.
