RMIT and Essendon Football Club • RMIT and Essendon Football Club have joined forces, creating a new frontier in cross-industry collaboration and will see them become tertiary education partners • The partnership is underpinned by a shared commitment to the community, innovation and enterprise Essendon Football Club CEO, Xavier Campbell and RMIT’s VC, Martin Bean, launched the partnership in RMIT’s new Media Portal

Community • RMIT and Essendon have a shared commitment to reconciliation and will work together to grow the next generation of Indigenous leaders • The partnership opens up new elite athletic development opportunities and pathways to elite sport • Develop and deliver community education programs to multicultural communities

  4. Enterprise • Essendon Football Club staff and players will gain access to online courses andRMIT Activator– our central initiative designed to promote entrepreneurial success • RMIT students will also gain hands-on experience and grow their enterprise skills at Essendon Football Club through work-integrated-learning opportunities

  5. Innovation • RMIT is already exploring research opportunities that are set to deliver real impact and innovations in a range of areas including textiles, nutrition and e-sports • Developments include potentially game-changing technology that could be beneficial not only for Essendon Football Club but also the wider community • Being connected to industry is central to preparing our students for life and work and developing graduates who have the skills required for the future workforce
