Remembrance before eating: بِسْمِ الله Bismillah In the name of Allah. and if you forget to say it before starting, then you should say (when you remember): بِسْمِ اللهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِـرَهُ Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu In the name of Allah in it’s beginning and end. After eating: الْحَمْـدُ للهِ الَّذي أَطْعَمَنـي هـذا وَرَزَقَنـيهِ مِنْ غَـيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلا قُوَّة Alhamdulillahil ladhi at 'amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwah All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might nor power from myself. www.concerningislam.com youtube.com/concerningislam facebook.com/concerningislam

Remembrance on wearing a garment: الْحَمْدُ للهِ الّذي كَسَانِي هذا وَرَزَقَنِيْهِ مِنْ غَـيـْرِ حَولٍ مِنّي وَلاَ قُـوَّة Alhamdulillahilladhikasanihadhawarazaqanihi min ghayrihawlinminniwa la quwah All Praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, with no power nor might from myself. Remembrance on entering the mosque: أَعوذُ باللهِ العَظيـم وَبِوَجْهِـهِ الكَرِيـم وَسُلْطـانِه القَديـم مِنَ الشّيْـطانِ الرَّجـيم، بِسْـمِ الله، وَالصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ عَلى رَسولِ الله، اللّهُـمَّ افْتَـحْ لي أَبْوابَ رَحْمَتـِك A ‘udhubillahilazhim, wa bi wajhihilkarim, wasultanihilqadimiminashshaytanirrajim. Bismillahi was salatu was salamu ‘ala rasulillah. Allahummaftahliabwabarahmatik I take refuge with Allah, the Supreme and with His Noble Face, and His eternal authority from the accursed devil. In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me. Remembrance on leaving the mosque: بِسمِ الله وَالصّلاةُ وَالسّلامُ عَلى رَسولِ الله، اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَسْأَلُكَ مِـنْ فَضْـلِك، اللّهُـمَّ اعصِمْنـي مِنَ الشَّيْـطانِ الرَّجـيم Bismillahi was salatu was salamu ‘ala rasulillah. Allahummainni as aluka min fadlik. Allahumma’ simniminashshaytanirrajim. In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your favour. Remembrance on entering the house: بِسْـمِ اللهِ وَلَجْنـا، وَبِسْـمِ اللهِ خَـرَجْنـا، وَعَلـى رَبِّنـا تَوَكّلْـنا Bismillahiwalajnawabismillahikharajnawa 'ala rabbinatawakkalna In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust. Remembrance before entering the toilet: بِسْمِ الله. اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنَ الْخُـبُثِ وَالْخَبائِث Bismillah, allahummainni a ‘udhubikaminalkhubuthiwalkhaba-ith In the name of Allah. O Allah, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers. Remembrance on riding a camel or any means of transportation: بِسْـمِ اللهِ وَالْحَمْـدُ لله، سُـبْحانَ الّذي سَخَّـرَ لَنا هذا وَما كُنّا لَهُ مُقْـرِنين، وَإِنّا إِلى رَبِّنا لَمُنـقَلِبون Bismillahiwalhamdulillah, subhanalladhisakhkharalanahadhawa ma kunnalahumuqrininwainnailarabbinalamunqalibun In the name of Allah and all praise is for Allah. How perfect He is, the One Who has placed this (transport) at our service and we ourselves would not have been capable of that, and to our Lord is our final destiny. Remembrance on entering the market: لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّه وحدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُلْـكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، يُحْيـي وَيُميـتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لا يَمـوت، بِيَـدِهِ الْخَـيْرُ وَهوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ La ilahaillallah, wahdahu la sharikalah, lahulmulkuwalahulhamd, yuhyiwayumit, wahuwahayyun la yamut, biyadihilkhayr, wahuwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadir None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is living and does not die. When one of you sneezes he should say: الْحَمْـدُ للهِ Alhamdulillah All praise is for Allah. …and his companion who hears it should say to him: يَرْحَمُـكَ الله Yarhamukallah May Allah have mercy upon you. …and the one who sneezed replies back to him: يَهْـديكُـمُ اللهُ وَيُصْـلِحُ بالَـكُم Yahdikumullahuwayuslihubalakum May Allah guide you and rectify your condition. www.concerningislam.com youtube.com/concerningislam facebook.com/concerningislam

  12. Supplication said when it rains: اللّهُمَّ صَيِّـباً نافِـعاً Allahummasayyibannafi ‘an O Allah, may it be a beneficial rain cloud. After rainfall: مُطِـرْنا بِفَضْـلِ اللهِ وَرَحْمَـتِه Mutirnabifadlillahiwarahmatihi We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah. Asking for clear skies اللّهُمَّ حَوالَيْنا وَلا عَلَيْـنا، اللّهُمَّ عَلى الآكـامِ وَالظِّـراب، وَبُطـونِ الأوْدِية، وَمَنـابِتِ الشَّجـر Allahummahawalaynawa la ‘alayna, allahumma ‘alalakamiwazzirab, wabutunilawdiyah, wamanabitishshajar O Allah, let the rain fall around us and not upon us, O Allah, (let it fall) on the pastures, hills, valleys and the roots of trees. www.concerningislam.com youtube.com/concerningislam facebook.com/concerningislam

Supplication on Strong Wind: اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـي أَسْـأَلُـكَ خَيْـرَها، وَخَيْـرَ ما فيهـا، وَخَيْـرَ ما اُرْسِلَـتْ بِه، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّها، وَشَـرِّ ما فيهـا، وَشَـرِّ ما اُرْسِلَـتْ بِه Allahummainni as alukakhayrahawakhayra ma fiha, wakhayra ma ursilatbih, wa a ‘udhubika min sharriha, washarri ma fihawasharri ma ursilatbih O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I take refuge with You from it’s evil, the evil within it, and from the evil it was sent with. www.concerningislam.com youtube.com/concerningislam facebook.com/concerningislam

Supplication on Adhan: Repeat silently after what the muadh-dhin is saying except for the parts: “Hayya ‘alas salah” and “Hayya ‘alalfalah” which you should say: لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ La hawlawa la quwataillalbillah There is no might nor power except with Allah. After Adhan: اللّهُـمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدّعْـوَةِ التّـامَّة وَالصّلاةِ القَـائِمَة آتِ محَـمَّداً الوَسيـلةَ وَالْفَضـيلَة وَابْعَـثْه مَقـامـاً مَحـموداً الَّذي وَعَـدْتَه إِنَّـكَ لا تُـخْلِفُ الميـعاد Allahummarabba ha dhihidda’watittammatiwassalatilqaimatiatimuhammadanilwasilatawalfadilatawab ‘athhumaqamammahmudanilladhiwa ‘adtah, innaka la tukhliful mi ‘ad O Allah, Owner of this perfect call and Owner of this prayer to be performed, bestow upon Muhammad al-waseelah and al-fadeelah and send him upon a praised platform which You have promised him.   16. When starting ablution: بِسْمِ الله Bismillah In the name of Allah. Upon completing the ablution: أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَـهَ إِلاّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريـكَ لَـهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسـولُـه. اللّهُـمَّ اجْعَلنـي مِنَ التَّـوّابينَ وَاجْعَـلْني مِنَ المتَطَهّـرين Ash haduallailahaillallah, wahdahu la sharikalah, wa ash haduannamuhammadan ‘abduhuwarasuluh. Allahummaj ‘alniminattawwabinawaj ‘alniminalmutatahhirin. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. What to Read on Salah: Du’aulIstiftah: سُبْـحانَكَ اللّهُـمَّ وَبِحَمْـدِكَ وَتَبارَكَ اسْمُـكَ وَتَعـالى جَـدُّكَ وَلا إِلهَ غَيْرُك Subhanakallahummawabihamdika, watabarakasmuka, wata ‘ala jadduka, walailahaghayruk How perfect You are O Allah, and I praise You. Blessed be Your name, and lofty is Your position and none has the right to be worshipped except You. (Then read SuratulFatihah and another Surah after it.)   18. I’tidal (Raising from Ruku): سَمِـعَ اللهُ لِمَـنْ حَمِـدَه, رَبَّنـا وَلَكَ الحَمْـدُ Sami ‘allahulimanhamidah, Rabbanawalakalhamd May Allah answer he who praises Him. Our Lord, for You is all praise. Sujud: سُبْـحانَ رَبِّـيَ الأَعْلـى (ثلاثاً) Subhanarabbiyala’la (3x) How perfect my Lord is, the Most High. Tashahhud: التَّحِيّـاتُ للهِ وَالصَّلَـواتُ والطَّيِّـبات ، السَّلامُ عَلَيـكَ أَيُّهـا النَّبِـيُّ وَرَحْمَـةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكـاتُه ، السَّلامُ عَلَيْـنا وَعَلـى عِبـادِ كَ الصَّـالِحـين . أَشْـهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ الله ، وَأَشْـهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسـولُه, اللّهُـمَّ صَلِّ عَلـى مُحمَّـد، وَعَلـى آلِ مُحمَّد، كَمـا صَلَّيـتَ عَلـىإبْراهـيمَ وَعَلـى آلِ إبْراهـيم، إِنَّكَ حَمـيدٌ مَجـيد ، اللّهُـمَّ بارِكْ عَلـى مُحمَّـد، وَعَلـى آلِ مُحمَّـد، كَمـا بارِكْتَ عَلـىإبْراهـيمَ وَعَلـى آلِ إبْراهيم، إِنَّكَ حَمـيدٌ مَجـيد Attahiyyatulillahiwassalawatuwattayyibat, assalamu ‘alaykaayyuhannabiwarahmatullahiwabarakatuh, assalamu ‘alaynawa ‘ala ‘ibadillahissaliheen. Ash hadu an la ilahaillallah, waashhaduannamuhammadan ‘abduhuwarasuluh. Allahummasalli ‘ala muhammad, wa ‘ala alimuhammad, kamasallayta ‘ala ibrahimwa ‘ala ali Ibrahim, innakahamidunmajid, allahummabarik ‘ala muhammad, wa ‘ala alimuhammad, kamabarakta ‘ala ibrahimawa ‘ala aliibraheem, innakahamidunmajid At-tahiyyat is for Allah. All acts of worship and good deeds are for Him. Peace and the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you O Prophet. Peace be upon us and all of Allah’s righteous servants. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. ‘O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the followers of Muhammad, just as You sent prayers upon Ibraheem and upon the followers of Ibraheem. Verily, You are full of praise and majesty. O Allah, send blessings upon Mohammad and upon the family of Muhammad, just as You sent blessings upon Ibraheem and upon the family of Ibraheem. Verily, You are full of praise and majesty.’ send prayers: praise and exalt him in the highest and superior of gatherings: that of the closest angels to Allah. At-tahiyyat: all words which indicate the glorification of Allah.   20. Taslim: السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ Assalamu ‘alaykumwarahmatullah May the peace and mercy of Allah be with you. Don’t forget to say the takbir “الله أكبر / Allahuakbar (Allah is the greatest)” on every movement except for the i’tidal and taslim. The most important thing to read in salah is the Surah Al-Fatihah. Dhikr After Salah: أَسْـتَغْفِرُ الله (ثَلاثاً) Astaghfirullah (3x) I ask Allah for forgiveness. اللّهُـمَّ أَنْـتَ السَّلامُ ، وَمِـنْكَ السَّلام ، تَبارَكْتَ يا ذا الجَـلالِ وَالإِكْـرام. لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْد، وهوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قَدير، اللّهُـمَّ لا مانِعَ لِما أَعْطَـيْت، وَلا مُعْطِـيَ لِما مَنَـعْت، وَلا يَنْفَـعُ ذا الجَـدِّ مِنْـكَ الجَـد. لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّه, وحدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ الملكُ ولهُ الحَمد، وهوَ على كلّ شيءٍ قدير، لا حَـوْلَ وَلا قـوَّةَ إِلاّ بِاللهِ، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّـه، وَلا نَعْـبُـدُ إِلاّ إيّـاه, لَهُ النِّعْـمَةُ وَلَهُ الفَضْل وَلَهُ الثَّـناءُ الحَـسَن، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ مخْلِصـينَ لَـهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَـرِهَ الكـافِرون Allahummaantassalamuwaminkassalam. TabaraktaYa Dhal JalaliwalIkram. La ilahaillallahuwahdahu la sharikalah, lahulmulkuwalahulhamduwahuwa ‘ala kulli shay-in qadir. Allahumma la mani’a lima a’tayta, wa la mu’tiya lima mana’ta, wa la yanfa’u dhal jaddiminkaljad. La ilahaillallahuwahdahu la sharikalah, lahulmulkuwalahulhamduwahuwa ‘ala kulli shay-in qadir. La hawlawa la quwataillabillah. La ilahaillallahu, wa la na’buduillaiyah. lahunni’matuwalahulfadluwalahuththana-ulhasan. La ilahaillallahu, mukhlisinalahuddinawa law karihalkafirun O Allah, You are As-Salam and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.O Allah, none can prevent what You have willed to bestow and none can bestow what You have willed to prevent, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, as from You is all wealth and majesty. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent. There is no might nor power except with Allah, none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and we worship none except Him. For Him is all favour, grace, and glorious praise. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him although the disbelievers detest it.   22. سُـبْحانَ اللهِ، والحَمْـدُ لله، واللهُ أكْـبَر (ثلاثاً وثلاثين) Subhanallah (33x), Alhamdulillah (33x), Allahuakbar (33x) How perfect Allah is. All praise is for Allah. Allah is the greatest. لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحْـدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ الملكُ ولهُ الحَمْد، وهُوَ على كُلّ شَيءٍ قَـدير La ilahaillallahuwahdahu la sharikalah, lahulmulkuwalahulhamduwahuwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadir None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.  It is also from the sunnah to recite AyatulKursi (Al-Baqarah:255) after each prayer. The following three chapters should be recited once after Zhuhr, ‘Asr and ‘Isha prayers and thrice after Fajr and Maghrib: Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas. لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحْـدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُلكُ ولهُ الحَمْد، يُحيـي وَيُمـيتُ وهُوَ على كُلّ شيءٍ قدير (عَشْر مَرّات بَعْدَ صلاة الفجر والمَغْرِبَ) La ilahaillallahuwahdahu la sharikalah, lahulmulkuwalahulhamd, yuhyiwayumit, wahuwa ‘ala kullishayinqadir (10x after SalatulFajr and Maghrib) None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, He gives life and causes death and He is over all things omnipotent. www.concerningislam.com youtube.com/concerningislam facebook.com/concerningislam

Dhikr in the Morning: اللّهُـمَّ بِكَ أَصْـبَحْنا وَبِكَ أَمْسَـينا ، وَبِكَ نَحْـيا وَبِكَ نَمـوتُ وَإِلَـيْكَ النِّـشور Allahumabikaasbahnawabikaamsayna, wabikanahyawabikanamutuwailaykannushur O Allah, by your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we have reached the evening, by Your leave we live and die and unto You is our resurrection. أَصْـبَحْنا وَأَصْـبَحَ المُـلْكُ لله وَالحَمدُ لله ، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحدَهُ لا شَريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قدير ، رَبِّ أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيرَ ما في هـذا الْيَوْمِ وَخَـيرَ ما بَعْـدَهُ، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ هـذا الْيَوْمِ وَشَرِّ ما بَعْـدَهُ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَـلِ وَسـوءِ الْكِـبَر ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَـذابٍ في النّـارِ وَعَـذابٍ في القَـبْر Asbahnawaasbahalmulkulillahiwalhamdulillah, lailahaillallahwahdahu la sharikalah, lahulmulkuwalahulhamdu wahuwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadir.
