  2. General Information • Southview Elementary in Kearney, Missouri • 7 South Campus Drive Kearney, MO 64060 • Phone: (816) 628-4652 • Fax: (816) 628-6173 • Principal:Rebecca Parks • Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:45 am-3:30 pm

  3. All About Me • My background • I grew up in Kearney, Missouri. • Graduated from Missouri Western State University • I am very close with my family and especially my three brothers. • I love dogs and have three that are named Kadie, Hurley and Jeffrey. • My favorite season is summer where I get to be outside and enjoy the weather.

  4. Contact Information • Email: twermelskirchen@kearney.k12.mo.us • School Phone: (816)628-4652 • You will have to ask specifically for my classroom. • My plan period is everyday from 1pm-2pm (this would be the best time to get ahold of me)

  5. My Goals • This year my goal is to have a great year with your children. • I will create an environment where each student feels supported and knows they can have fun in my classroom too. • I am here for your children and want to help them as much as I possibly can.

  6. Volunteers • For this school year I am asking that a couple of parents to become the room mothers so that when classroom parties come around you can help me out in planning the parties • We will also need volunteers to sign up for the field trips so that I have some other adult supervision when we are off of the school campus • If you know that you would like to sign up for any of these events please go ahead and sign up on the purple and blue sheets at the front of the classroom • Thank you to all for you help with this school year

  7. Discipline • Each student has a card that starts out on green at the beginning of everyday • If the student is to do something wrong or that is worth action needing to take place the student will flip their card to yellow • If the problem continues to happen the students card will go straight to red • When a student gets a red card I will be sending “A Shake of the Head” note home to you the parents that will need to be signed and brought back to school so that I know, you know that your child did not have a good day at school

  8. Field Trips • This year we as the first grade teachers are planning a few field trips for your children. • One field trip we would like to go on is to the Red Barn Farm around the time we do our animals unit.(End of September/Beginning of October) • Another field trip that we are planning is to go to the Kansas City Zoo. (April/May) • Keep in mind that we will need parent volunteers. • We will send home the information as soon as we have a date set

  9. Let’s Have a Great Year!
