  2. What we already know • Son of God • Born of Virgin • Died on cross • Rose Again • Perfect • In Heaven • Was a man on earth around 2K years ago • Teacher • Talked about before he was even born • BUT, CAN WE KNOW IF THAT IS ALL TRUE OR DO WE HAVE TO QUESTION ITS TRUTH?

A brief Biblical View • Jesus fulfilled 4 Prophecies before he could even talk. • 1- Messiah Would be a Son of David (follow lineage of Jesus you see him in David’s blood line) • 2 Out of Egypt (Hosea 11:1 out of Egypt I will call my son) Matthew 2:14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt.

  4. Cont’d • 3 “the Nazarene” (Matthew 2:23) Actually lived in Nazareth, but that was also a Jewish cuss word basically. Word used harshly towards somebody hated. (psalms 22:6, Isaiah 49:7, 53:3, Daniel 9:26) • 4 Virgin Birth: Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin will give birth to a son and you will call him Immanuel (God with us)

A brief Science of Jesus • Josh McDowell has spent his life studying the life of Jesus, the reality of him, fact vs. fiction, etc. One of most knowledgeable apologists in world. • The odds of someone being the real Messiah and fulfilling only 4 prophecies (Jesus did before he could even talk) are 1 in 10 quadrillion or 1x10,000,000,000,000,000

  7. Cont’d • Carl Haub of tee Population Reference Bureau (www.prb.org) in 2002 estimated 106,456,567,669 people have walked earth since 50,000 BC. (also referenced on ask.com, wikipedia.com, and www.dalatarak.com) • When you crunch the #’s of people totals (which the earth is not 50K years old) and the chances of one of the 100 billion people fulfilling 4 prophecies and being the Messiah are %0.000001. There is NO chance anyone ever could have been Messiah except of Jesus Christ himself.

  8. Why is it important to know • Matthew 28:18-19 All Authority on Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surly I am with you always even until the end of the age. • 1 Peter 3:15 But set apart Jesus as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that is in you. • We need to have the knowledge to teach the truth to the hungry!

  9. Before the Life we must . . . • Realize everyone has a gap that needs filled in their lives. It’s a GOD sized gap only he can fill. • If you are filled with him you know, but he commands us to let others in on what we know. We are his mail men. • In a post-modern world we are taught truth is what we make it. We have to understand absolute truth and know that Christ is that truth.
