  1. Peace on Earth 2011 Christmas Program The greatest gift that God has ever given us was His Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to redeem all men and women from their sins and to make everyone friends with God again. The Bible Story of birth of Jesus as told in the Gospel written by Luke

  2. In those days, Caesar Augustus issued a decree that the whole world should be enrolled.

  3. Hear ye, Hear ye, an enrollment of the whole world must be taken. Each person must go to the place of his birth and be counted.

  4. So, Joseph and Mary set out from the town of Nazareth in Galilee and traveled up to Judea to a town of the city of David called Bethlehem, since he was of David’s house and line. He did this in order to be enrolled together with Mary, his betrothed, who was with Child.

  5. While they were there, the time came for Mary to have her child. She gave birth to a son, her first born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in the manger because there was no room for them in the inn.

  6. In the countryside close by were shepherds who lived in the fields and took turns watching the sheep during the night.

  7. Do not be afraid. Listen, I bring you Good News of great joy, a joy to be shared by all people. Today, in the town of Bethlehem, a Savior has been born to you. You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger

  8. When they saw the child, they went back to the fields and repeated what they had been told about Him. Everyone who heard it was astonished at what the shepherds had said. And suddenly there was a great throng of the heavenly host, praising God and singing. Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.

  9. As for

  10. As for Mary, she treasured these things and pondered them in her heart.

  11. There was one young shepherd who felt bad because he didn’t have anything to give the newborn infant. He did however have a drum and the ability to make music. An older shepherd told him to give the gift from the heart and so it was that he came before the Infant playing his drum.

  12. Thus it was that Our Lord, Jesus Christ was born in a humble town of Bethlehem. Let us express our joy and thanks for this wonderful gift from God by singing: Silent Night.”

  13. The end.
