  1. Earth’s Defense By Owain W.

  2. The storyline is: You are a military genius (Devyl) who has just been released from cryo-sleep. Your brilliance in the Lunar War convinced the A.S.P. (Allied Star Police) to put you in cryogenic slumber, just in case WWIII showed up. Its not quite WORLD war three, more Galactic War one. Anyway, you are prohibited from joining the battle personally so you can recover from your “Ice-Out.” A CaM (Camera Mech) Bot has been dispatched so you can drop Turrets, manage Credits, build vehicles and whatnot. The excuse for training is they need to get you “up to speed” on how to use the CaM, to manage turrets, Credits, and your SEA (Synthetic Engagement Avatar). The SEA is basically a clone with artificially enhanced reflexes, strength, and speed, which you can upgrade in the avatar management room. I will explain the rest verbally, and have brought a notebook, pencil, and pen here so that you can take notes. Storyline

  3. Devyl is the avatar as you play the game START WEAPONS/ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS Dual Pistols (default); Assault Rifle; Shotgun/Sniper (customizable) Armor Defense; Jetpack Bomb Call; The Avatar is only part-time (limited to moving, getting in and out of turrets/vehicles, and attacking) and he has a 30-second respawn time if killed. You will automatically lock on to the avatar if you are idle for 15 seconds. Avatar

  4. These take Credits to launch. Your avatar can call one over to drive or ride on. Some are better than others, but take more Credits to launch. You can upgrade the vehicle’s Weapons and Armor in the market menu. The vehicles each have a spawn time. Different vehicles have different spawn times. VEHICLES

  5. Details: Armor: 1 Attack: 3 Speed: 8 Max Passengers: 2 A fast and lightly armored mobile turret, fast firing machine gun, overheat time of 20 seconds by default. Cost: $10 Spawn Time: 5 seconds ATV

  6. Dtls: Armor: 4 Attack: 5 Speed: 4 Max Passengers: 4 A good all around support vehicle. Explosive Rounds turret. No overheat time. Rounds: 12 Cost: $40 Spawn Time: 30 seconds Jeep

  7. Dtls: Armor: 9 Attack: 4 Speed: 3 Max Passengers: 6 This thing can run over three mines and come out smiling. Not fast, though. Laser Turret. Default overheat time: 15 seconds. Cost: $60 Spawn Time: 80 Seconds Armored Car

  8. Dtls: Armor: 8 Attack: 9 Speed: 1 Max Passengers: 9 Slow, tough vehicle, near invincible. 3 passengers, 2 gunners, 1 driver. Cost: $100 Spawn Time: 100 Seconds Tank

  9. Dtls: FLYING Armor: 10 Attack: 10 Speed: 10 Max Passengers: 14 This is only available to buy in the final stage, Homecoming, and skirmish/galactic conquest mode. It carries 2 speeders with drivers, 4 gunners, 2 pilots, and 6 marines. It is a transport vehicle, and acts as a mobile spawn point on the field. It is not affected by mines, because it just flies over them. Cost: $700 Spawn Time: 4 minutes Hovercraft supervehicle

  10. You will be able to purchase different types of specialized classes for your avatar. Changing the class of Devil will have you wait 30 seconds for him to change classes. Each class has its own special skillsand weapons, and is better at taking out different types of units. MARINE TYPES

  11. Equipped with: Assault Rifle, Dual pistols Cost: Free This is a default mode, and your avatar starts out as it. Effective Anti-Infantry. Soldier (Default)

  12. Equipped with: Sniper Rifle, Long-Range Machine Gun Skills: No-Miss Targeting System, Eagle Sight The Sniper class is very long range. Snipers are able to shoot across the battlefield, and the No-Miss skill locks on to a target (5 in all) and guides the bullet there. Eagle Sight is just binoculars, which make this class ideal for scouting. Sniper

  13. Equipped with: MiniGun, Laser Pistol Skills: Superfast Attacks, Invincibility This class is effective security. Their Superfast Attack skill doubles the attack rate of all weapons in their corona by 50%. Invincibility slows them down, but deflects all damage except from ship lasers. Heavy Trooper

  14. Equipped with: Grenade Launcher, Rocket Launcher Skills: Nuclear Raid, G.S.L.C. Attack This class should be deployed when all else fails. It is anti-infantry,but also does light vehicle damage. The Nuclear Raid is devastating. It takes out its target with one hit, but takes about 4 seconds for it to come. Explosives Spec

  15. Equipped with: Stinger AA Laser, Continuous Stream Laser This class is all about getting where the enemies can’t and pounding them. The Stinger AA is devastating, and locks on to VEHICLES ONLY. Constant use of the Stream Laser will result in an overheat. Overheat time: 30 seconds. Aerial Trooper

  16. Equipped with: Shotgun, Short-Range Machine Gun Skills: Rage, Quad Damage The Melee class is good at quick and dirty fights. Their main job is to get in the enemies faces and shoot ‘em to Hell. Rage allows for a short time in which you would be able to take out everything you target in one hit. It lasts for 15 seconds. Quad Damage increases their weapon damage by 400%. Melee Trooper

  17. The game is heavily inspired by Halo. It starts and ends on Earth, with a lot of traveling around in space. It goes: • Earth (training) • Earth (Invasion) • Attion 9 (Second Conflict) • Mars (Goliath Bot) • Moon/Earth (Homecoming) The Demo we will make will include levels 1 and 2. The difficulties are: Newbie, Easy, Veteran, Sensei, and Crazy. Game Setup

  18. A must have part of any good defense game is turrets. These stop enemy mobile units from advancing, engage other turrets and are the backbone of a base’s strength. These are the types: • Machine Gun • Heavy Cannon • Missile • Mortar • AA • Plasma • EMP • Medic (heals all turrets within range) • Base- You start with a main hub, 1 mine, and a boot camp. You will be able to add build pads, spawn troops (auto) and build vehicles here. Turrets/Base Buildings

  19. Thanks to Dylan, who has provided me with an energy boost when I most need it, given me hugs, and overall helped me power through this crap. Dedications

  20. Thanks to Dad, who is my main caretaker at the hospital.

  21. Thanks to Mom, who has managed to exercise, cook, keep the family together, deal with my sickness, and hand out hugs all at the same time. 
