  11. What I Do • 1 Suppose you memorize one Event for each day of the year (366 x mo, da, • yr, Event) = 1,464 “memories.” Then memorize a story for each Event. • 2 Suppose you rank & memorize the top 100 Events/Happenings that • affected your life. (may be family birthdates, anniv, etc, but should be world Events). • Now merge those two lists; you have ~ 400 items x 4 = 1,600 “memories.” • Extend List 1 to top two events for each day (2,928 “memories”). • 5 Extend List 2 to top 200 (300, 400, 500) ranked Events. I now have Events • that are the 3rd time a specific date has been used. • 6 Keep your list current, e.g., Obamacare, 3/23/2010, definitely goes on the “List”; • George Zimmerman questionable; Miley Cyrus definitely not. • 7 There are rules: exclude birthdays and most deaths; makeup dates for • Events without one, i.e., printing press; adjust a few dates by 1-2 days for • major conflicts; forget about entertainers/media mavens/pop stars. • 8 Categorize in 9 areas: sCientific, Diasters, Holidays, Legal, Medical, People, • Social, sporTs, War.
