  2. Title: We Beat the Streets • Author: Sampson Davis, George Jenkins, and Rameck Hunt • Genre: Biography

  3. Summary • This book is about 3 boys named Sampson, George and Rameck. They all go through the same struggles in life and the same school. Each one of them were very smart but didn’t want to show it but their friends would fun of them, so they started to become trouble makers. Then after a while they wanted to do something with their lives. One day in school when they were goofing off they went to a college presentation and they liked it. After that they decided to do good in school and go to the same college. When college was almost done they all wanted to become the same thing in life. They all became doctors and became successful.

  4. Personal Response • What I got out of this book was to try your hardest no matter what kind of life you have and never give up on something you want.

  5. A Passage that Inspired Me • A passage that inspired me was on page 98 when one of the boys says “I think we could ALL do this the three of us-together!” • This passage inspired me because that just shows that they actually care about each other succeeding which makes them good friends that care about each other.

  6. Recommendation • I would recommend this book to people who like to read biographies and like to listen to other peoples stories/problems.
