  2. Why is it important to build a child’s self esteem? It is important to build a child’s self esteem because it can mean the difference between success and failure later in their life. Self Esteem provides a foundation for your relationship with friends, family, employers, teachers, and others.

  3. Every child is unique! Encourage your child to express themselves.

  4. It is important for children to have good self esteem because it affects the rest of their lives and how well they will be able to do. It builds a child's self confidence which is a key factor in being successful.

  5. You can help build children’s self esteem by… -Encouraging them to try new things -Encouraging them to express themselves -Communicate with them -Tell them how well they are doing something -Let them know how much you care about them

  6. What are the areas of self esteem? INTELLECTUAL EMOTIONAL SOCIAL PHYSICAL

  7. -Intellectual- How you feel about your ability to think and solve problems. -Emotional- How you feel about your feelings and how you express them. -Social- How you feel about your ability to get along with people. -Physical- How you feel about your body and health.
