Joel Hass, Maurice Weir, George Thomas, Jr.; University Calculus, Alternate Edition., Pearson, 2008, Textbook Only:  0321471962 Calculator: Graphing Calculator required.  TI 83, TI 84 or TI 86 series calculators recommended. Calculators capable of symbolic manipulation will not be allowed on tests.  Examples include, but are not limited to, TI 89, TI 92, and Nspire CAS models and HP 48 models.  Neither cell phones nor PDA's can be used as calculators.  Calculators may be cleared before tests.   3. HOMEWORK Homework will be assigned but not picked up. Keeping up with homework daily is imperative to your learning and will help prepare you for exams.

  4. QUIZZES(USE PENCIL) Eight 20 points quizzes will be given. The three lowest quiz scores will be dropped. The final quiz grade will be a compilation of the remaining 5 scores. LATE QUIZZES ARE NOT ACCEPTED (FOR ANY REASON) Quizzes worth 20%

  5. QUIZZES DUE DATES • QUIZ I: JUNE 8TH • QUIZ II: JUNE 13TH • QUIZ III: JUNE 16TH • QUIZ IV: JUNE 20ST • QUIZV: JUNE 23RD • QUIZ VI: JUNE 28TH • QUIZ VII: JUNE 30TH • QUIZ VIII: JULY 5TH

  6. TESTS(USE PENCIL) • Will be four partial tests and a cumulative final test. • Partial tests worth 60% • Final Exam worth 20%

  8. TESTS SCHEDULE • TEST 1: JUNE 14TH • TEST II: JUNE 21ST • TEST III: JUNE 28TH • TEST IV: JULY 6TH • FINAL: JULY 12TH

  9. ABSENCES Make-up Exams:There will be four partial tests and a cumulative final test. There are no make-ups for missed exams. The final test may replace one missing test grade provided that you contact me the test day and bring a documented excuse for the absence. If you fail to contact me the test day and/or do not bring a documented excuse, you will receive a zero.

  11. CELL PHONES TEXT MESSAGING The use of cell phones is not allowed in the room. Please turn off all electronic devices before entering the room.

  12. Letter Grade Final Average • A 100-90 • B 89-80 • C 79-70 • D 69-60 • F Below 60
