  2. Where did they come from? • Originally, from you guessed it, Siberia • Used for thousands of years by the Chukchi people to pull sleds, herd reindeer, perform watchdog duties, and snuggle during the cold nights • Close relative to the wolf

  3. Special Features • Lightweight dog (40-60 lbs) with great stamina. (Can run for great distances.) • Thick fur to deal with cold winters. • Great love for digging holes and finding bones (to store in the ground for hard times).

  4. Interesting Facts • They are escape artists and are likely to dig out under fence lines to go hunting • Prefers to live in packs • Likely to howl at the sound of sirens • Gets bored easily • Very intellegent
