  2. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيمWhat Is Ramadan ? (Name origin) • Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and it is the most important month of the Islamic year.

  3. Meaning of Fasting in the Month of Ramadan • Muslims around the world get up before dawn to eat Suhoor , then they perform the fajr prayer ,and stop eating and drinking before the call for this prayer until the sun set.

  4. The Month of Mercy and Forgiveness • Muslims appears union in this month ,becouse Muslim's heart converged at love and tolerance, and meet people after the chagrin. we reminded the poore family in society to carrying blessing to every family, and this is the goal of this month. • Also Muslims teach patience, sacrifice and humility. And ask forgiveness for past sins ,establishing a link between ourselves and God through prayer, supplication, charity so it is a chance for self-reformation.

  5. In this month Muslims perform special prayers, called Tarawih which are held in the mosques every night of the month, Muslims also pay Zakat during the month. • In another hand Ramadan is a festival of giving and sharing, Muslims preparing of special foods and inviting their family and friends for the Iftar meal , and visiting their families and relatives, and visit Muslim friends and neighbors, and the poor family.

  6. The Most Holy Night of the Year • Laylat al-Qadr, considered the most holy night of the year, is the night in which the Qur'an was revealed from God to the Prophet Muhammed . • It may be during at any one of the last 10 days of Ramadan . Any acts of worship done on this night are rewarded in multiple thousands.
