    3. Lincoln Memorial The Lincoln Memorial is located in Washington, D.C. It was built as a tribute to President Abraham Lincoln. There is a large statue of President Lincoln inside of the Lincoln Memorial.

    4. The Jefferson Memorial is located in Washington, D.C. It was built as a tribute to President Thomas Jefferson. The memorial has a bronze statue of Thomas Jefferson that is 19 feet tall.

    5. The Statue of Liberty is located in New York. The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the United States of America from France. The Statue of Liberty is made out of copper.

    6. The Washington Monument is located in Washington, D.C. It was built as a tribute to President George Washington. The Washington Monument is the tallest masonry structure in the world.

    7. Mount Rushmore is the world’s largest mountain sculpture. The faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are carved into the mountain.

    8. Mesa Verde is located in southwestern Colorado. People built cliff dwellings and lived here about 1,000 years ago. This was the first national park set aside to save something built by people.

    9. The Grand Canyon is located in northern Arizona. The Colorado River is in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is a natural landmark.
