  10. To support staff wellness and self-care during Epic rollout Zen Dens / Serenity Rooms were set up centrally at each site and adopted on most floors by management and staff. Due to the popularity of these spaces staff asked to keep them for the month and indefinitely if possible A space has been retained for all staff use in the SD Staffing office We are working with management and facilities to secure these self-care spaces and provide approved materials for long term use on the floors Zen Dens

Feb 22, 2019 JACHO released a new standard mandating facilities to offer non-pharmacologic modalities starting July 2019 Now is the time to implement Holistic Healthcare Practices Holistic Health Care ModalitiesReduce Pain & Stress. Promote Wellness • As a Holistic Nurse, Coach, bio-energy Practitioner and OSP team member, I am uniquely positioned to collaborate with Leadership, MD’s and staff to implement EBP non pharmacologic modalities, education, and research.

Develop a team of professional board certified Holistic Nurses who complement the medical model and provide support for mind, body, spirit, emotional well being by utilizing the holistic caring process • Partner with MD’s, nurse, chaplain, palliative care, and Integrative providers • Holistic Health workshops for staff and patients • Support for American Holistic Nurse Certification Exams • Staff driven non pharmacologic modality training • On site location for Holistic Health Center for staff and patients • Integrate Holistic Practices to New Grad Program • Zen Den Relaxation Room for self care: foot & back massagers, journaling, music, aromatherapy • Pre/post surgery practices and research • Out patient therapeutic Healing Modalities and Coaching Integrative Healthcare Services

Corporate community (San Diego County Teachers & Staff) implementing Code Lavender Employee Care programs 2019 • Stress and pain were rated pre/post group session using a 0-10 scale • 0-10 scales tend to provide sufficient diversity in the data to detect differences • 0-10 is a common scale used in medicine to assess levels of pain • The perception of Stress decreased by 44%; a significant reduction (t = 10.981, p < .001†) • The perception of Pain decreased by 39% (t = 7.832, p < .001†) • 96% of participants rated sessions as Good or Excellent Code Lavender Corporate Self Care
