  1. All About Birds By Lee Fletcher and Max Pontzius There are so many interesting birds in the world. Now we are going to tell you about some of the ones we found intriguing.

  2. Cockatoos are really unusual birds. Sometimes when it’s raining Cockatoos will do a rain dance. A rain dance is when a Cockatoo would hang upside down on a branch in the rain to cool down the bare skin underneath the feathers.

  3. Blue Footed Boobies are entertaining birds. The Blue Footed Booby will dance so female Blue Footed Boobies will know that they are Blue Footed Boobies not Red Footed Boobies which is another species.

  4. The Hooded Pituhi is a compelling bird because of it's way of protecting itself in the wild. The feathers on a Hooded Pituhi are poisonous so they are good at protecting themselves in the wild.

  5. The Willow Ptarmigan changes the color of it’s feathers depending if it is Summer or Winter. The color of it’s feathers turn white in the Winter and brown in the Summer.

  6. Puffins like to be in the sea. Puffins spend most of their time bobbing on the surface of the sea.

  7. The Shoebill got it’s name because of it’s shoe shaped beak. The beak is also useful for scooping water to keep it’s eggs cool.

  8. The Pallas Sandgrouse is a riveting bird because of how it gives water to it’s babies. The birds feathers are like sponges so that when it’s babies need water to drink, the bird floats in water then flies back to it’s nest. When it gets back the babies suck up the water from the parents feathers.

  9. The Ragginana bird-of –paradise is an amusing bird because of it’s feathers. The feathers on the Ragginana are really flamboyant.

  10. Cattle Egrets need the help of bigger animals to find prey. The Cattle Egrets stand on top of big animals such as hippos, cows, and elephants to see the landscape.
