  9. Evidencing Impact Discussion How do you evidence impact of • Interventions? • Wider Opportunities? What has this shown you? Do you know what makes the difference?

  10. Parent Reference Group: • North PRG to be considered by PLs – to be organised by the LAs • Agenda to include both national and local items • Aiming for approx 15 parents per LA to attend.

  11. Data Collection • Deadline – 25th March 2011 • To be completed for ALL children being tracked through Cohort 1 or 2 in Years 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 & 11 • Cohort 1 on extended spreadsheet • Cohort 2 on previous spreadsheet • Please refer to front sheet on each spreadsheet • In-house checks to be made • Upload on to SSET site

  12. Overall summary: • Unintended outcome – no correlation between progress and term of birth. • Y1 – overall progress good • Y5 – progress good • Y7 – slight dip (issues re transition) • Y10 – significant progress but the overall range is wider • AfA is making a difference

  13. Data Analysis • Are AfA children making the same, better of less progress than the non-AfA children in the cohort group? • Is that analysis made by you/data team? If not why not? • Discuss

  14. Spring Term Visits • To have a quick update from SPLs • To meet with a group of AfA children to discuss their experiences of AfA • Visits to classes to see what’s working well • To meet with a selection of key teachers to discuss their experiences of AfA • Visit dates from 10th January

Training Opportunities • 14th & 28th January – Strand 2 Train the Trainers course • 4th March – FUNS for everyone – Raising the Bar • 10th March – Lesson Study Training (am or pm) • 21st June – Circle Time – Jenny Mosely • Continuing opportunities at Burnley Brow & Blue Coat • Training offered by QEST
