  1. A Career As A Professional Hockey Player Marty Melnychuk is a former pro hockey player, and his winning points were — Speed and agility, which improved his skating abilities. It is possible to practice stickhandling at any time, both off and on the ice, even at home. You must learn to track the puck and player position to improve your ability to recognize situations.

  2. Start with Skating You might be thinking, “I already know how to skate!” That’s great. However, anyone is able to improve their skating skills — even beginners — but skating is a lifetime endeavor, so you have to work on it continuously

  3. Work to improve Your Stance Your stance is a crucial element of skating. A great hockey squat keeps balance in a good position and leads to several advantages. Check that you have a center of gravity that doesn’t go too far back or forward to maximize your squat. This will help keep you strong on the skates. Being stable will make you confident and help you do better skating.

  4. Get to work on Your Rhythm Enhancing your stride’s rhythm is a way to help players achieve greater game levels. Being able to maintain a steady stride will also improve the speed of your stride. The ability to extend your legs throughout every stride is crucial
