  2. Current And Upcoming Projects • Project Help Database – currently making additions and improvements • Innovation One Website – researching possibilities for website construction • Second Project Help Database – meeting soon with client to collect requirements

  4. Logo • Created logo.

  5. Project Help additions • Employee and Volunteer Additions: • Delete/Move record from one table to another table, vice versa. • New columns to be inserted: Address & Phone #.

  6. Project help additions • Duplications are being counted on Print Report. • Additional subtitles under the Volunteer section. • Work on possible logo designs/web design for Innovation 1 website project.

  8. Making improvementsWhat’s done so far • Improving the “Personnel Entry” form • Labelled required fields • Reduced potential for error • Two buttons are better than one • No auto-complete unless intentionally used • Data cleaning • Removed space characters from last names that confused sorting

Making improvementsWhat’s going to happen • Hiding old client records • Hide clients based on a set time of inactivity • Such clients will remain in database in case they become active again • Deleting dissolved households • Create a form that will allow deletion of one or more household records by selecting checkboxes • User will be asked to confirm selection before deletion occurs

  11. Project Help progress • Updated Demographics Queries • Subgroup of “People under age 19” for holiday gifts • Households with single parents • Households using specific resources • Scheduled meeting for Tuesday regarding a second database

  12. Still being worked on/planned • Number of adults in households by: • Employed • Disabled • Social Security • Volunteer name/address listing for mailing “Thank You” letters • Helping update the user manual

  14. Rebecca’s Contribution • Created the dominantdata.yolasite.com website • Updating the website • Creating meeting agendas and minutes • Working on the Innovation One “Trinkets from Trine”* Website • Working on the Business statement for Dominant Data Inc. * Name may change

Innovation one website Our original idea was to make a fully-operational E-Commerce site Research of E-Commerce site builders proved futile, all require subscription fees before allowing creation of E-Commerce sites Decided to make a mock E-Commerce site for this project. If everything goes according to plan, the site will look exactly like an E-Commerce, just the Add to Cart and Check Out buttons will not function
