  3. Search for the terms in the module handbook and make a playlist for each week Reading each week should align with these lists MODULE HANDBOOK

  4. WRITING ESSAYS • APA Referencing (This will be covered in the course) • Using primary sources (avoid referencing textbooks) • Use up-to-date sources • Keywords

  5. GROUP WORK • Have a timetable of planned work and take into account revisions and other deadlines • Organise work pessimistically - assume at least one group member will not contribute • Organise regular meetings for the duration of the project • Have an agreed group leader • Establish a common group aim - first class assignment

  8. RESEARCH PARTICIPATION • Get points which will help you with your independent project in Year 3 • Learn from doing • See the strengths and limitations of research methods first hand

  9. FUTURES AWARD • Recognises extra things do you in University - e.g being a student rep • Offered by Students Union and the Careers Service

  10. MENTORSHIP SCHEME • Allows you the opportunity to meet and learn from someone in a field you’re interested in • Contributes to a futures award • Can give you an idea of the realities of the career you’re interested in

  11. KEY TIPS • Read the Course Handbook and the Module Handbooks • Make a spreadsheet to track your assessments and deadlines • Set up Unimail on your phone
