  5. Ogaki Women’s College Highlights • Dept. of Design Arts: Manga/Anime course • One of the most respected college for their Manga/Anime program in Japan and in the world. First college to establish the Manga/Anime course as accredited two years degree. • They have accepted students from France to learn the most advanced skills and techniques. • This course has been there for 15 years. They have produced 20 well known and successful working manga artists. • Students take an annual field trip to several publishers in Tokyo to have their manga/anime works to be critiqued. Some students receive the opportunity to debut as a working manga/anime artist.

  6. Summer I, 2013 Itinerary Plan** subject to change Week 1: Orientation Week 2-4 Some days classes meet only half day. In that case mini field trips to nearby sites (such as Ogaki Castle, shrines, museums) will be planned. Week 5: Trip summary- discuss, create a trip report /a powerpoint presentation
