Objectives of the performance review Document the background of the PHT including past responses, achievements and challenges Assess to what extent the PHT has met its objectives of improved partnerships, accountability, predictability and leadership Identify recommendations and a strategy/work-plan for the future Contribute to IASC knowledge of the humanitarian coordination mechanisms in place in the Pacific.

  2. Key information Five year performance review from 2008 to 2012 Review to take place over six months from Sept 2012 – Feb 2013 Review commissioned by OCHA Pacific in its role as Secretary of the PHT Researcher supported by OCHA Pacific, PHT Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG), OCHA Evaluations and Guidance Section (EGS) and the PHT Performance Review Advisory Group.

How you can contribute to the review Provide key documents and reports to inform the review Request an interview with the researcher Participate actively in today’s group exercise Complete the online survey to be released soon – look out for this in early November Provide guidance and advice as a member of the ICCG or PHT Performance Review Advisory Group.

  4. Objectives of today's group exercise To provide an opportunity for PHT members and partners to contribute to the findings of the PHT Performance Review To come to a shared understanding of the achievements and challenges faced by the PHT and jointly identify recommendations for the future To promote open discussion between the different groups represented in the PHT.

  5. Today's questions What are the three (3) most notable achievements of the PHT? What are the three (3) greatest challenges facing the PHT? What should the focus of the PHT be over the next three (3) to five (5) years? What practical recommendations do you have to improve the operational performance of the PHT?
