Fragile X Joshua Dickson March 24, 2013
Rationale One of my new consultation students was recently diagnosed with Fragile X. As a teacher of students with Autism and a behavioral consultant, I was asked to provide both behavioral and educational support for the special educators at his school. My hope is that by completing my disability project on Fragile X I will gain valuable information in how to best assist my student in learning and succeeding in school.
Participants will gain… • a basic understanding of Fragile X syndrome, how it is transmitted, and how it affects male and female children. • an understanding of the affected curriculum areas as well as the strengths and weaknesses of both genders. Learning Objectives
