Wanted ARMED AND DANGEROUS CORONIVIRUS • Affects cats, dogs, pigs, mice, birds • Can spread from animals • Takes 2-7 days for symptoms to become apparent • 5.9% who get sick die • There is no cure Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) Initiated by a coronavirus. The Virus affects the lungs, it is a type of pneumonia . The symptoms are, sudden fever, dry cough, shivers, muscle soreness and breathing trouble. SARS is transferred by coughs and sneezes and possible by objects that have been exposed, and it can survive outside of the body for up to 6 hours. The most common victims of SARS are on the continent of Asia, that is where the disease began spreading and where it continues to spread most commonly. The long term effect of SARS is having Pulmonary issues and exercise capacity, quality of life and possible death. The death rate for SARS is under 10% SARS has affected more than 20 countries, but it does not seem to be as aggressive or fatal as other disease. ( Many people wear hospital masks to protect themselves from the virus. Ribavirin is the medicine commonly used to treat the SARS virus.

  2. the respiratory syncytial virus (GOOD CITEZEN AWARD) This is a virus found in children with Congenital Cardiac Malformations. The reaction the children's body have to this virus may help the prevention of severe respiratory disease. They also have a lesser chance of developing Reactive Airway Disease and Asthma as they grow older.
