Conclusions on External Audit Report • Audits demonstrated a very professional approach to the planning and control of the EXTR@Web project • Key issues addressed by the auditor are • simplifying the documentation • providing clear guidance to all partners • preventing recurrence of known problems • External audits have reported similar findings then internal audits • Some further modifications on Project Handbook are still necessary • Overall conformity during the audit was found but there is room for further improvement

Recommendations from 2nd External Audit • Update of descriptions of processes in project handbook • Formal mechanisms for on-going risk assessments and preventive actions should be installed • Formal mechanisms for backup and restoration of electronic data should be defined • The lack of response from external bodies continues to be a problem and latest strategy needs to be closely monitored • Training for usage of Extranet was recommended • Further clarification on document control needs to be implemented

  4. Actions to be done • Update of project handbook in September • Definition of necessary procedures in September • Next audit campaign in November (GC) • Final management review in December
