    39. 39 A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”

    40. Support, Inspire, Reward!

    41. 41 Do you support your employees? Your employees are the image of your company! Taking care of the employee is the first step in making sure they will take care of your customer! Companies often forget that in order to get the best possible employee productivity they must recognize the employee’s effort! Are you the loudest cheerleader?

    42. 42 Ways to offer employee support…. Provide a comfortable and safe environment! Provide employees with the tools they need to perform their job correctly! Have an open door policy so they feel welcome to approach management if needed! Respect them! Listen to their suggestions (they usually have some of the best)! Do what you say you will do!

    43. 43 Let’s talk INSPIRATION! How does the “Pickle” inspire you? Is your business in the habit of giving away pickles? Do you as a Boss, Manager, Employee feel empowered to give away pickles? Don’t limit your employees so that they can’t make a decision that is right for your business and saves the customer! “If we don’t take care of our customers, someone else will.” UNKNOWN

    44. 44 Ways to offer Inspiration… Send out cards thanking employees for good behavior and “Inspire” them to keep up the great work! Set Goals! Employees will feel rewarded when they accomplish them and feel inspired to reach the next goal! Hold contests! Do you have multiple locations where you can have some friendly competitions running? Bring in Speakers! Do you have company meetings? This is a great opportunity to bring in a motivational speaker to re-energize your organization. Have fun at work! Behavior falls down stairs….meaning if your employees see that you enjoy your job it will inspire them to have more fun!

    45. 45 Are you offering rewards? How do you recognize employees? Is the reward appropriate? Is it sincere? Make a BIG DEAL! Do it in front of as many co-workers as possible! Reward often!

    46. 46 Rewards continued…. "There are two things people want more than sex and money -- recognition and praise." --Mary Kay Ash

    47. 47 You tell me! How has your company supported, inspired, and rewarded your employees? What has worked well? What has not worked? “You’ll never have a product or price advantage again. They can be easily duplicated, but a strong customer service culture can’t be copied.” - Jerry Fritz
